In the south of Huila, San Agustin is known for agriculture, an archeological park, and proximity to the Colombian Massif. Rich soil from volcanic ash supports crops like sugar cane, avocado, and high-quality coffee. The area's economy thrives on agriculture, including small-scale coffee producers from Llanada Naranjos contributing to Los Naranjos brand created in 2006. The producers' focus on quality and sustainability has led to notable improvements in coffee and farm practices over time.

Oconee Coffee Roasters’ tasting notes: nougat, panela, & dried apricots.

Southern Classic

  • The Southern Classic Blend is the deepest roast profile we offer. It consists of a blend of 50% Colombia and 50% Ethiopia. Great for sweet, complex and vibrant espresso shots and deep notes of dark chocolate, molasses, dried fruit with a creamy/syrupy mouthfeel when brewing at home.

Tasting notes: dark chocolate, molasses, & stone fruit

Oconee Blend

  • This harmonious blend consists of a Colombian and two Ethiopian coffees. The result is a very syrupy, vibrantly sweet, and a satisfying smooth cup. This roast profile is our medium roast profile, ideal for cold-brew and excellent for drip-brew. This house blend is super approachable and a crowd-pleaser.

    Tasting notes: brownie, toffee, berries

Decaf - Huila, Colombia

  • This is natural process that utilizes a solvent of ethyl acetate, derived from fermented sugar. The process works by soaking green coffee in a solution of E.A., which bonds to the salts of chlorogenic acid in the coffee and allows for the removal of caffeine. The coffee is removed from the solvent and steamed at low pressure to remove the E.A. compounds, and the finished product retains its flavor integrity but contains almost no caffeine at all. Tasting notes, you will love the rich chocolate cake, raisin, and maple syrup flavors. Super clean and smooth mouthfeel. This decaf is a great partner with desserts after evening supper.
